The Indigenous-led public engagement launch of Bringing the Salmon Home: The Columbia River Salmon Reintroduction Initiative in mid-May 2021 offers a vision, an invitation and a shared affirmation to work together to look at all opportunities to bring the salmon back to the upper Columbia River region.
Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities are invited to show their transboundary support by organizing Bringing the Salmon Home related events from the headwaters to the mouth of river. This may include holding local paddle journeys, or sending in stories, songs, videos, messages and artwork that can be shared through the CRSRI website and social media channels.
